The Stables: Inside Story
The Stables: Inside StoryEdited by Kate Barrett & Monica Ferguson
The Stables: Inside Story was published in October 2005 to mark the 35th anniversary of the first public performances in the original Stables. The book chronicles the history of the venue from the early days and its inception in 1970 by founders Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Laine, to the official opening of the new building in October 2000 by HRH Princess Margaret.
Full of behind the scenes pictures, anecdotes and stories, the book is the perfect present for music lovers. The book is also recommended for students studying arts management.
Copies are available to buy in Spinadisc music store in the foyer of The Stables. Also available by phone from the Box Office on 01908 280800 (plus £2 post and packaging).
* Profits generated from the sales of this book will be donated to Wavendon Allmusic Plan Ltd (Registered Charity No.261645) to support its music and education programme at The Stables.
