Learning is central to The Stables’ activity. Over 250 education sessions are delivered each year, encouraging people of all ages, levels of ability and backgrounds to participate in music-making activities. The sessions range from interactive concerts for schools to participatory workshops and longer-term projects. The range of musical styles offered complements The Stables’ concert programme and includes jazz, rock, pop, classical, world music and music technology.Instilled in the education programme is the vision that John Dankworth and Cleo Laine had in setting up their very first Allmusic courses at The Stables in 1970 – an unbiased approach that encourages participants to cross traditional barriers between musical styles and find the confidence to experiment with new genres.
Our education work includes:
* Early Years Workshops
* Creative Projects
* Educational Concerts
* National Youth Music Camps
* Music Technology Courses
* Jazz, Rock and Vocal Courses
* Professional Development
