Current Projects

In April 2006 The Stables launched a professional development programme for singer-songwriters. The Leverhulme Artist Programme has been set up to give five emerging artists a range of opportunities to help them build their professional careers, including masterclasses with established artists, studio time and platform opportunities. The programme has been generously supported by a grant from The Leverhulme Trust. Information about the individual artists taking part in the project will be available on the website soon.

Our early years programme Music Mites began in 2002. Workshops led by trained music leaders and musicians from Birmingham Conservatoire are offered at The Stables and in nurseries and Children’s Centres across Milton Keynes. Each session is designed to introduce pre-school children and their carers to the building blocks of music through songs, stories and games. Music Mites has recently been supported by Milton Keynes Community Foundation and the Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative. To find out when Music Mites is next scheduled click here.
