We offer a range of workshops and courses in a wide range of styles and instruments. Workshops can range from absolute beginner instrument sessions to training and development for teachers and music leaders. Our popular instrument workshops offer a range of instruments and styles, for beginners to more experienced players. With regular follow up workshops and the occasional guest tutor from our concert programme, current workshops include harmonica, ukulele, guitar, mandolin, banjo, latin percussion, melodeon, jazz improvisation.
Opportunities to come together with like minded people to explore particular styles of music or develop skills over a series of workshops. Regular courses include Rock Experience, Ceilidh Experience and Sing & Strum. New courses for 2012 include UKEandSing for teachers and those working with childrens groups.
Waves & Raves is our regular 2 part introduction to music technology and recording studio techniques, running 3 or more times a year. We also run workshops in lighting and live sound engineering for concerts.
One day workshops in unaccompanied harmony singing, suitable for all levels of experience. Vocal technique workshops for band vocalists, songwriting and technical workshops for singer/songwriters.
Over2U is our version of an ‘open mic’ night, giving the chance for people who have been part of our education events and workshops to take those first steps in performing live.
