The Stables is celebrating 40 years of music in 2010. Founded by legendary jazz musicians Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth, the Stables is owned by Wavendon Allmusic Plan Ltd, a registered charitable trust with a vision to engage the widest range of people with music in all its diversity.

The Stables presents around 350 concerts and 250 education sessions each year and has earned an international reputation for excellence in both artistic and education project delivery. It was recently ranked 6th in the UK’s top 100 music venues by the Performing Rights Society and is widely acknowledged as a leader in training and development with over 270 volunteers working alongside a core team of 30 employees.

To support the continued and further development of its artistic and education projects we plan to create an endowment fund with your help.

Endowment funds are often referred to as the future lifeblood of any charity. Supporting a planned giving programme, they are also a buffer in times of financial or fundraising uncertainty, providing continuity of investment in key areas to ensure project delivery.

We need your help now to carry the legacy of Sir John Dankworth & Dame Cleo Laine forward, and to push our vision into the future.
