Courtney Pine dons his curator’s hat for the first ever Destin-e Records weekender with three special nights of contemporary jazz showcasing artists from his own record label. Performances are from the label’s award-winning rising stars Empirical, acclaimed Cuban electric violinist Omar Puente, and distinctive London–based guitarist Cameron Pierre. (Now replace with Nikki Yeoh) “…It’s very much about the future; if you want to know what the progressive jazzers of tomorrow are likely to sound like, just tune in to what the eclectic Pine and his peers are up to today.” Metro
