Emily Mae Winters
Born in England, raised along the rugged coasts of Southern Ireland; Emily Mae Winters' powerful voice and haunting songs are quickly permeating the British folk and country scene. Influenced by the likes of Nancy Kerr, The Unthanks, The Staves, Kate Rusby, Sarah Jarosz and Alison Krauss, Emily teamed up with BBC Radio 2 Folk award winner Ben Walker to produce her first commercial release, Foreign Waters, which has received critical acclaim, including being featured in Acoustic Magazine's best summer releases.

Of the four songs on the EP, Miles To Go won the folk category in the UK Song writing contest and Anchor won the folk category in the Guardian Song writing competition. With songs touched by influences of Irish folk, country and Americana, Emily’s unique folk blend is turning heads, marking her out as a new leading light in the English country-folk scene.

“Superbly crafted and dramatic song writing… Winters’ songs reflect a love of poetry, her lyrics giving a dark edge to songs that are beautifully performed. ” R2 Magazine
