John Power from The La’s (best remembered for the hit single There She Goes) released his new solo album, Stormbreaker, in January 2008. Alongside the myth-touched songwriter Lee Mavers, John Power was the other constant member of the legendary Liverpool band. Leaving The La’s in 1992, he went on to take charge of Cast, a formidable live four-piece band with whom he sold bewildering amounts of records – 1995’s All Change was famously the biggest and fastest selling debut album on the Polydor label of the nineties.
