Singers and multi-instrumentalists Le Vent Du Nord (The North Wind) are at the vanguard of the folk music of Quebec, and in 2005 were named North American Trad Artists of the Year. With fiddle, guitar, accordion, bass, hurdy-gurdy and vocals, they sing both original songs and those taken from the traditional repertoire in their native French. Their music is both fresh and bound to tradition, but their stage presence is their greatest strength; energetic, dynamic, in touch with their audience and sure to delight them.
