The great 5-4-3-2-1 established Manfred Mann as a band that maintained consistent chart success throughout the Sixties. Three UK number 1 records - Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Pretty Flamingo and The Mighty Quinn - cemented their place in the pop firmament. The Earth Band first played together in March 1971, developing its own style which has evolved constantly since then, including the hit single Blinded By The Light. The Earth Band has lived up to its name, touring the States, Europe and as far a field as Australia during their 40-year existence and they continue to tour to this day.
