Melanie
With guitar in hand and a talent that combined amazing vocal equipment, disarming humor, and a vibrant engagement with life, Melanie was booked as the first solo pop/rock artist ever to appear at the Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House, the Sydney Opera House, and in the General Assembly of the United Nations. In the years that followed Melanie continued to record and tour and Jimi Hendrix's father introduced her to the multitude assembled for the 20th anniversary of Woodstock. Her records have sold more than 80 million copies to date and her songs – such as Brand New Key, Ruby Tuesday, and Look What They Done to My Song Ma – have been covered by singers as diverse as Cher, Dolly Parton, and Macy Gray. Melanie will be performing accompanied by her son Beau on guitar.
