Nelson is having a truly busy and international 2011. When not playing alongside Earl Klugh, Alex Bugnon, The Grusins or Philippe Saisse he has been leading his own international group across the Americas, Japan and Europe. Of late Nelson has also been devoting more time to orchestral performances with the Denver Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra using a whole new set of musical skills. He was the featured Jazz Artist at this year’s National Flute Association Convention held in August.
