On September 19 1970 Stackridge played the first note at the first Glastonbury festival. Reformed last year, they still retain their unique mix of charm, skill and intelligence. They return to The Stables touring their new album A Victory For Common Sense, which sees them sounding as contemporary and fresh as bands half their age.  Strangely strange and wonderfully wonderful, this collection of songs emphasises their talent for writing memorable melodies and playful, poignant lyrics and is being hailed as one of the most significant releases of the decade.
