The Portraits are Lorraine (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Jeremy (piano, vocals) Millington and their fabulous band. Their simple observations of life from the perspective of those that have loved, lost, travelled, had children and laughed about it all, make for a cosy brand of acoustic pop with beautiful harmonies and folk and world music tinges. The duo’s last CD, The Blushing Of A World In White, was released to rave reviews, and The Portraits are using the album to promote awareness of the situation in Burma, raising funds through CD sales for an amazing school there.
