The Teak Project represents a collaboration between three of Britain’s finest young improvisers, coming together to simply make their own music unfettered by the strictures of defined categories like jazz or Hindustani classical. The band features Justin Quinn on guitar, Jonathan Mayer on sitar and Neil Craig on tabla. Following on from their critically acclaimed debut album, The Teak Project are adding yet another ingredient to their fusion of Indian music and jazz as they reinterpret traditional folk songs from Britain and elsewhere.
