Vieux Farka Toure & Zeep
Son of the late maestro and two-time Grammy Award-winner Ali Farka Touré, Vieuz Farka Touré’s music heralds a new generation of Malian desert blues. A highly talented guitarist, singer, songwriter and percussionist, Vieux has inherited the musical genius of his father and used it to create his own unique style – Saharan desert blues for the 21st century, embellished with flourishes of Vieux’s own ‘koroboro rock’ and reggae riffs.
Zeep is the new band from Nina Miranda and Chris Franck. Previous bands, Da Lata and Smoke City, were two of the biggest selling world-music acts of the last decade collaborating with artists such as Tony Allen, Baaba Maal, Bebel Gilberto and Femi Kuti. After solo sets the artists will come together on stage, uniting continents, musical styles, influences and attitude.
